Someone Old: sweet contemporary romance (Jilted in Sawyer Creek Book 1) Page 7

The crowd was chanting now. "Kiss! Kiss!"

When Jax looked up, he found the display on the Jumbotron had changed to the KissCam.

He grinned at his fiancée. "Guess we should give them what they want." Not that he needed an excuse.

He curved one hand behind her head, the other at her waist, and pulled her closer.

Her arms twined around his neck, and she met his kiss with a fierce gladness that tightened the ball of emotion in the back of his throat.

  She was his.

  And she would be forever.

She broke the kiss, blushing rosily. "You've got a game to win."

The crowd was still cheering as they came off the field hand-in-hand. He sent her through the dugout and tunnels beneath the stadium. The PR team had urged him to have her stick with a bodyguard until after the game, due to the fanfare. He was more than happy to take that advice.

The Coyotes did win the game, but that wasn't what had Jax flying high as he hurried through the after-game interviews, ready to get back to Claire.

He'd won big. He'd won Claire's heart. Not once, but twice.

An up-and-coming musician falls for the boy-next-door... only to find out he’s not what he seems.

Shelby Caine is the black sheep of the family. Sure, she might be in the tabloids a few too many times, but being a rockstar on her own in L.A. isn’t nearly as difficult as navigating the family dynamics during her brother’s wedding weekend. She promises her mom she’ll be the perfect bridesmaid and stay out of trouble. And she manages it for an entire morning—until she sets eyes on the Farm Boy next door, who just might be the perfect wedding date.

Matt Kincaid never wanted to be a rancher. He’s stuck in a life he didn’t ask for and needs a way out—and when Shelby walks into his life she provides the drama he needs to make a change. As long as he pretends he has no idea who she is.

But when the charade falls apart, will Shelby and Matt lose the chance to fall in love with Someone New?
